The workshop introduces Scratch programming language to young programmers to control interesting Arduino based hardware.
Scratch is a project of the Lifelong Kindergarten Group at the MIT Media Lab. It helps young people learn to think creatively, reason systematically and work collaboratively – essential skills for life in the 21st century.
Scratch for Arduino is a Scratch modification that allows for simple programming of the Arduino open source hardware platform. It provides new blocks for managing sensors and actuators connected to Arduino.
