Gary is now working in the Patient Safety and Risk Management Department in the Hospital Authority Head Office after 8 years of Orthopaedics clinical services at public hospital.<\/p>\n<p>His past experience of being a bone cancer patient at 14 years of age and the sufferings from the chemotherapy and amputation surgery motivates him to serve for the patients and the needy. He is now the Chairperson of the Hong Kong Federation of Handicapped Youth (HKFHY) and also the Board of Directors in Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation (HKSR). His endeavor and perseverance was recognized by a number of awards including the 8th Hong Kong Volunteer Award 2020, the Outstanding Disabled Persons Award 2002, Ten Warriors of Regeneration Selection Award 1996, CUHK Convocation Outstanding Community Service Award 2005 and Outstanding Athlete Award in Swimming 2001-2002.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. Gary Ng Sir Edward Youde Memorial Fellowship \/ Scholarship for Disabled Students 2000\/01 Dr. Gary Ng acquired his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery and the Master of Science in Health Services Management from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
