Mentorship Programme
Application for the Mentorship Programme
Chapter Ten is a six-month mentorship programme in which mentees will develop positive personal and career ambitions and plan. It is a one-to-one mentor-mentee relationship for mentees to learn from the mentors with regard to education and career. The mentors will also give advice on how to reach goals.
Target Participants: SEYSA members and SEYMF awardees who are students and young professionals
Fee: Free of Charge
Programme Duration: six months (September 2018 – March 2019)
Programme Format:
- Mentees will attend all workshops and communicate with the mentor through emails or in person at least three times during the programme.
- At the end of the programme, mentees will write a blog entry to reflect their learning experiences and rewards from the programme.
WHY ?
An opportunity for young members to:
- Communicate and study with the senior Youders who are the leaders in their industry.
- Build relationships with the association, the mentor and other mentees.
- Identify and develop their personal and/or career goals.
- Foster personal development.
- Develop communication and networking skills.
WHO ?
Ten senior Youders are invited to be mentors this year. They are leaders in different industries including
- Law
- Urban Planning
- Medicine
- Economics
- International Relations
- Community Services
- Entrepreneurship
WHEN ?
- Application: 1st June 2018 – 30th August 2018
- Result released through emails: September 2018
- Workshop 1 (SEYSA and networking skills): September 2018
- Communication with Mentors: September 2018 – March 2019
- Workshop 2 (Blog writing skills): TBA
- Closing Ceremony: March 2019
- Blog due date: March 2019
